Carolyn is the best! She met me after I’d just had one of two of the worst haircuts I’d ever had in my life! I spent an entire weekend actually crying over how awful and how much of my hair hair been, literally, hacked off with a razor “for texture” at a different salon. I’d just moved to Anchorage and braved a new stylist and in doing so, was humbled to say the least. I didn’t think there was much that could be done to help, but I was too embarrassed by the haircut to not try and find someone to help. With only a shred of realistic hope, I braved another first visit into another unknown stylists chair…Carolyn’s. Thank goodness! She not only fixed the awful color and brought me back to a recognizable blonde but also smoothed and shaped the hatchet-job that was choppy and frayed into layers that fell in a sculpted and polished look I could be proud of and feel professional in at work, in public and in private. Before she fixed me, I had to avoid even glancing up I. The mirror while brushing my teeth in the morning so I wouldn’t start crying again, and after my visit to her, I had solace without shame. Since our first meet, she has been a joy to sit for two more times, and when I left this last time, I received compliments from my brother that “my hair looks soooo much better” —brothers, right?!? But, I knew he’d be nothing but honest with me so I take the compliment at full value! And another stated “oh wow, it looks just like the day I met you!” I’m so glad I found you at You!, Carolyn! Couldn’t be more grateful about that seemingly fateful happenstance!

Madellyn did great! I’ve been letting my hair grow long for the last couple years and this was my first visit, so I didn’t really know what to expect. She explained what she was going to do before doing anything, she Knew the products well and what to use for hair types, Great conversationalists. It was an All-round great experience with her. Had my hair colored a beautiful cinnamon brown here yesterday by Madison and she was great! I have very kinky/curly hair and she dealt with it with so much care and attention and asked good questions, made me feel very comfortable! It turned out beautifully the color is absolutely amazing and exactly what I wanted!! Soo happy and will be returning for touchups!

I had my hair done recently by Sophia and she did an absolutely amazing job - I could not be happier with it and she completely exceeded my expectations. The salon is very well put together and has very friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend this salon and will definitely be returning. Additionally, I could not recommend Sophia enough, she is wonderful!

I’ve been here twice now for a haircut and most recently, I had Madellyn cut my hair and she was great! She was really easy to talk to and took great care of my hair. I can’t remember who I had cut my hair the last time I was there but she was a student still and she was really easy to talk to as well.

I want to update my review because it’s important to recognize how this salon handled a really hard situation with so much kindness and integrity. My initial K-tip extension install was extremely painful, and I was genuinely heartbroken because I had spent close to $2,000 and wanted so badly to love my hair. My scalp hurt constantly, and the extensions were just too tight for me. That said, Shelly was incredibly warm, welcoming, and understanding from the moment I spoke with her. She listened to me, validated how I was feeling, and immediately worked to make things right. She suggested a different type of extension that would be better for my hair, paid for the hair herself, and issued a full refund for the entire service. I was also not charged for removing the extensions, which I am so grateful for. Everyone at the salon was so kind and supportive throughout this process. While the initial experience was disappointing, the way they handled it truly speaks to their character. I love this salon, and I deeply appreciate the care, professionalism, and compassion they showed me.

I went to the salon for both a haircut and highlight/color correction and Phoebe was my stylist for both. She did a phenomenal job! Particularly with the color, which she spent hours getting it to the perfect blonde, while pulling my natural brown in to create a better grow out with less maintenance. All of which she came up with on her own with little guidance required from me (my direction would not be as specific or knowledgeable). Great job and great salon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough great things about Megan young! From the moment I sat in her chair, I felt completely comfortable and confident that I was in expert hands. She truly listens, takes the time to understand exactly what you want, and then goes above and beyond to deliver results that exceed expectations. Her attention to detail, skill, and creativity are outstanding, and the end result was absolutely flawless. On top of that, Megan is so friendly, professional, and easy to talk to—it makes the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about their clients and consistently delivers amazing results, Megan is it. I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else and can’t recommend her highly enough!

I never wore my hair down for 3 years until Megan Young did my hair. She truly changed my life with the new confidence she gave me. She did my hair last year, completely transforming my bad box dye to a beautiful blonde. Since then, I started wearing my hair down, and my confidence grew so much. Many months later, I went to a different salon for more highlights, and I realized that no one does it better than You Beauty. A year passed, and I got my hair done by Megan Young a second time, and she did amazing yet again, giving me the cutest bob and the most wonderful balayage! You Beauty, regardless of the price, you get what you pay for, especially with how amazing your hair will turn out. I love Megan because she is such a kind stylist and truly cares about her job. You can really tell the passion she has for all the meticulous details she leaves in my hair. I left the salon feeling confident, beautiful, and amazing, all thanks to Megan.
